About this position
What you′ll do
- Develop new products based on silicone and SMP (Silane-modified polymers) technology within the AMI EIMEA product development team
- Plan and do physical lab work such as preparation of formulations, synthesis of raw materials and polymers, analysis & testing of batches, products, competitor products, compiling of results and discussion with lab head
- Support scale-up, pilot and customer trials
- Ensure high standards regarding safety, 5S, lab organization, and tidiness
- Continuously learn, develop and implement new testing methods and lab skills
- Train other lab members regarding formulation know-how and test methods especially in the area of silicones and SMPs
What makes you a good fit
- Self-motivated PD technician/ scientist/ chemist who enjoys working in an international team
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in laboratory environment
- Strong practical lab skills
- Theoretical and practical experience in silicone chemistry and/or SMP technology
- Self-dependent & efficient planning and performing of lab work & tasks
- Strong organizational skills
- Good English skills in speaking and writing, German language is a plus
